Hi I want to run a 10km race (not sure what that is in miles) but I am an absolute beginner any tips where i can get a training programme. Is 3months long enough to get into shape? Sept 27th is my birthday, I'll be turning 30. Any advice is welcome.

I'm actually planning on starting to train for a 10k myself! I am an absolute beginner too. This is the plan I'm going to use. I'm sure I'll have to repeat a few weeks though of course.

2It's 6.2 miles. Depending on your fitness level, you should be able to get in shape to run a 10K in 3 months.
If you don't like the idea of training alone, see if there's a running club in your area. I don't know where you live, but a lot of the major metro areas have active running clubs that have frequent group training runs. Good luck!
3Thank you for your reply. There are no running cliubs here as far as I know. But the actual getting started keeps getting postponed. Life gets in the way.
