First off, HIIT (high intensity interval training) is the best type of cardio to aid in fat loss. HIIT is as simple as jogging on the treadmill for 60 seconds and then sprinting for 30 seconds and repeating this for 20-30 minutes. But don't forget your 5 minute warm up and cool down.
The best exercises to do HIIT on are stationary bike, treadmill or jogging outside, elliptical and body weight exercises. Adding HIIT to your fitness routine will make sure you lose body fat! So go HIIT that bike! LOL

I'm trying to make the weekends my interval training days! Very intense, but hopefully totally burning off all those drinking calories!
1I am on a very cool website that tells me what exercises to do what days, etc. It is great but it would never give me these tips. Thanks!! I need to get rid of some serious poundage LOL!!!
2Hey - I have been working out with a trainer 2 to 3 days a week for a year and a half. I have lost weight, went down a dress size and feel better overall. However, the routine is starting to get stale. My trainer is a male and I feel like he does not work on my "girlie" parts like a girl would know how to. Area like your waist, thighs (inner and outer). Can you suggest some things to do for these areas? Also, how long do you recommend someon stay with a trainer before going it alone?
Thanks for the info!!

3Have you tried voicing what you want from your trainer? If he's any good, he should work WITH you on what you want to have worked. Just my opinion as a personal trainer. My dedication is to the client and their goals.
Things for waist could be simple things like plank, crunches on ball, or medicine ball twists. If you are doing any form of squats or lunges, it should be working your inner and outer thighs. There are also certain ways you can turn your feet to work different parts of the legs.
On the how long to stay? That has to be your decision, but if you feel he is not doing anything more for you, I would either look for a different personal trainer, do some online personal training or go out on your own. Seems like a waste of $$ if he's not helping you with your goals.
I do offer online personal training, if your interested
. It's cheaper and you still
get workouts and support from a personal trainer. http://www.womensdietandfitness.com/buildingabetteru/OnlineTraining.html
